About the Artist

Golden Acorn is an exciting new resource for exclusive jewelry inspired by the Renaissance. My mission originally was to create pieces that emulate authentic designs worn by the European nobility and upper middle classes of the sixteenth century.

The seed for Golden Acorn was planted in 2002, when I was planning my own Renaissance wedding. After searching fruitlessly for high quality reproductions of Renaissance-inspired jewelry, I applied my artistic training to make my own. Delighted with the results, I founded Golden Acorn in 2003 and began selling my wares at Renaissance and SCA Faires throughout the Midwest to discerning Re-enactors and enthusiasts.

I incorporated my training in glass lampworking and Precious Metal Clay(fine silver) to create more jewelry designs. The collection includes perfume pendants, necklaces, carcanets, earrings, bracelets, jeweled girdles and much more. Through word of mouth Golden Acorn's business and reputation grew.

In 2004, Golden Acorn branched off to include contemporary Bridal fashions that are currently stocked in several premier Bridal Shops.  My opinion is that jewelry should be the easiest and funnest part of the wedding plans.  I truly believe that "Your Wedding Day is Special, Your Jewelry should be too."
